SPECIAL NOTICE: HALIBUT LIMIT
1/2010. Its come to our attention that many people now believe that the limit for halibut has changed to 1 per person per day from the previous limit of 2 pp/pd. This is not true for where we fish, Cook Inlet. Unfortunately the limit has dropped to 1 in SouthEast AK. meaning Sitka, Juneau, etc. The resource is still strong in Cook Inlet and the limit for 2010 will be 2 fish pp/pd.

Air travelers wishing to fish on the Kenai Peninsula first fly to Anchorage. You can then either take a 30 minute commuter flight to Soldotna or Kenai and rent a car for the 40 mile drive to Ninilchik. Or you can rent a car in Anchorage and drive the scenic 180 miles around Turnagain Arm, through the Chugach and Kenai Mountains to Ninilchik. Don't forget your camera!
