What Rivers Do We Fish? Most of our Alaska salmon fishing trips are the Little Susitna River, locally known as the Little Su, or the Deshka River. We also fish several other tributaries of the Big Susitna River as well. Our guides begin most fishing trips at either the Deshka Landing Boat Launch or the Little Susitna River Public Boat Launch which are near our home town of Wasilla, Alaska, which as you may have heard, is also the home town of very own Sarah Palin.
The Mat-Su Valley Our family run fishing guide operation is based in the beautiful and historic Matanuska Susitna Valley, locally known as the Mat-Su Valley. It is a fisherman's paradise that offers some of the best fishing in the state. Several local rivers host all five species of North Pacific Salmon as well as Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden and Northern Pike. Our Alaska fishing guides know where and when to catch them.
