A town hall meeting organized to discuss underage substance abuse and increased accessibility to drugs and alcohol in Petersburg drew nearly 100 audience members and reached a wider audience through a cable TV station.
The two-hour meeting was recorded by Petersburg High School students and broadcast over GCI on Monday, Nov. 8 from the high school gym.
The Viking Swim Team sent seven swimmers to the state swim meet in Anchorage last weekend and arrived home on Sunday with a lot to be proud of. Head Coach Andy Carlisle, has coached state champions before arriving in Petersburg, this meet provided for his first state champion in Alaska.

Close to 150 wrestlers were in town over the weekend for the Petersburg Invitational Wrestling Tournament, which took place last Friday and Saturday in the high school gym. It was the only home meet for the Vikings and it was senior appreciation night on Saturday.
