St. John is a member of the Lutheran ChurchMissouri Synod, the eighth largest Protestant denomination in the United States and the second largest Lutheran body. The word Synod means "walking together".

St. John Lutheran Church is located in Palmer, Alaska in the Matanuska Valley of Southcentral Alaska, between the Chugach and Talkeetna mountain ranges. We are about 45 minutes northeast of Anchorage and 10 minutes east of Wasilla, Alaska.
We love visitors! Please come join us for Sunday school, adult classes, one of our worship services or a ministry or service opportunity. All ages are welcome!
