Totem Ocean Trailer Express, Inc. (TOTE), a privately owned shipping company serving Alaskas freight and cargo market since 1975, operates a fleet of roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) cargo ships offering twice weekly service between the Port of Tacoma, Washington and Port of Anchorage, Alaska.

TOTE's new Orca Class vessels entered Alaska service in 2003. The new vessels, M. V. Midnight Sun and M. V. North Star, have the capacity to carry over 500, 28 to 53 foot highway trailers and 250 vehicles.
The efficiency of RO/RO vessels allows just about any freight you're shipping to Alaska to be driven aboard our vessels, whether it be over sized heavy equipment like a bulldozer; or trailer loads of household goods; retail merchandise; groceries; oil field equipment; and construction materials.
