Welcome to Alaska's only year round 100+ year old hot springs resort! Chena Hot Springs Resort is the most accessible and developed hot spring resort in Alaska's Interior. Chena Hot Springs was discovered in August 1905 and became famous for curing crippled prospectors of their aches and pains.
Today, many local, state, national and international visitors enjoy Chena's natural outdoor hot springs, adult rock lake (ages 18+) or indoor family pool.
One of the first things you notice when arriving at Chena is the plume of steam rising from the outdoor natural adult (ages 18+) rock lake. Our outdoor hot springs rock lake is truly natural in every sense of the word including the earthy smell of sulfur which is normal in most hot springs around the world. Visitors make winter our busiest season with gorgeous Northern Lights dancing above their heads while soaking outside in our 105 degree rock lake. It just doesn't get any better than this!
