Mill Bay Coffee's gourmet specialty coffee beans offer the richest, finest fresh roasted coffee flavor you've ever tasted. We feel that from our location in Kodiak, Alaska, we are uniquely suited to appreciating and roasting coffee with quality and care that is nurtured by our environment and the type of people who are attracted here.
In the bay from which we take our name, it is not uncommon to see humpback or grey whales or occasional sea otters or orcas. Eagles are ever-present, as well as many species of waterfowl. The human inhabitants may be sea-kayakers or surfers, as well as commercial boats fishing salmon, halibut, and cod. Also visible are Spruce Island which once was the home of Father Herman, a hermit and venerated saint in the Russian Orthodox Church, and Marmot Island, a major hauling out area for sea lions. Life proceeds here at a different pace, allowing us the time to savor the nuances of each different type of coffee and find the best to share with you. In this part of Alaska, pride in the quality of your work may mean your survival.
We invite you to browse our site and try our coffee. We feel confident that you will find our coffee a gourmet experience and also hope that it will be a vehicle to facilitate the social interactions with others that we treasure in our shop.
