Thank you for visiting St. Herman Orthodox Church in Fairbanks, Alaska. Russian Orthodox Diocese of Alaska, Orthodox Church in America. The church is the most northern Orthodox Parish in America. St. Herman was a member of the first missonaries that brought Orthodox Christianity to America. Like St. Herman, we at St. Herman parish are bringing Orthodox Christianity to northern Alaska. The parish is comprised of a diverse number of ethnic backgrounds including Russian, Yupik,and Aleut as well as many converts. Also in attendance we have many soldiers and families from Ft. Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base, along with students from University of Alaska in Fairbanks. All services are sung in English. Visitors are always welcome.
