The Alaska Rag Company is located downtown in the "Golden Heart City" of Fairbanks, Alaska. We are a unique gift shop featuring art that is made in Alaska by Alaskans!
Alaska Rag Company creates hand-woven items on floor and table looms such as traditional rag rugs, table runners, placemats and "mug rugs". Through this age-old craft, we weave donated clothing and materials into joyful mixtures of textures and colors. These recycled rag products are woven right in our store.
Our studio storefront also features a selection of upscale arts and crafts from over 35 Alaskan artisans.
Alaska Rag Company is an environmentally friendly clothing recycling enterprise. In addition to recycling clothing and materials into rag rugs, we also cut t-shirts and sweatshirts for disposable rags.
